| Ministry Opportunities for 2008Is there a place at Stonebriar for me to do the ministry that God has called me to? What if I don't know what my ministry is, can you help me find it? Can I truly make a difference for the Kingdom? Do you really need me? I'm tired of not being used; can I be spiritually stretched at Stonebriar? We sure are glad you asked those questions. The answer to all of them is...YES! Because we are a new church in a new area, our needs are great. We have facility needs, financial needs and equipment needs. The most important need however are people that God has called and who are willing to serve to make an eternal difference for the Kingdom. God's Word, the Bible, says it this way: "The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is with the body of Christ." 1 Corinthians 12:12 New Living Translation Our "Body" has a number of important parts already, but there are many ministries that still need Team Members, and in some cases Leaders, to make Stonebriar work as God intended. At Stonebriar we do not believe in just "filling a ministry hole" with anybody who happens to have a soft heart but no Spiritual calling, no experience, and, if truth be told, no real desire to do that particular ministry. One of our "Core Values" is Excellence. That means that we would rather do without a ministry than do it poorly. We would rather wait until God provides all the necessary ministry elements: a real identified need, people who are passionate about "their" ministry, proper finances, etc... than to begin a ministry that is destined to fail over time. It is our belief that every Christian should serve in an area of ministry that they are passionate about. To that end, we have listed below some of the Ministry Opportunities that are currently available at Stonebriar Community Church. A job description is being developed for each position and should be available shortly. For your benefit, Ministry Opportunities that require special skills or requirements have been marked.
If after
praying, you believe God may be calling you to learn more about a specific
ministry, please call or
e-mail
Pastor Scott. He'll be more than happy to meet with you to discuss the
vision for the ministry and its requirements.
May
God bless you as you seek to serve Him. |
