The Vision of Stonebriar
Community Church
"It is our vision
to Provide Hope Through Christ, Promote Spiritual, Emotional,
and Physical Health, Capture Hearts for God, and Multiply Hands for the
Kingdom's work"

Start Your Journey at Stonebriar!
Religion
= Guilt. Is that your idea of
church? Well, it's not God's and it's not ours either. At Stonebriar, we think
church should be a place where you can explore spiritual issues, have meaningful
faith experiences, and move toward a personal relationship with God. No
judgment, no criticism...just friendship from other people working on their own
journeys.
We believe you'll find that we're a different kind of church. If
you haven't felt comfortable in church, are tired of
"religion" but desire a relationship, are feeling like there
must
be something more, or are new to the area and haven't "plugged-in" yet, we've
tried to develop a church that both fits your needs and maintains a strong sense of
spiritual integrity.
We realize that people aren't perfect. We live in a world of
hurting people who come from broken marriages, broken homes and broken lives. We recognize
the fact that God has not placed us here to judge or condemn people. Rather,
we're here to help people find the forgiveness and healing love of God that comes to us
through Jesus Christ.
To effectively reach people, one has to
identify with them
and relate to them. This means our teaching is life-centered. It constantly
touches upon the issues, questions, and problems people face in their daily lives. We live
in a world of AIDS, abortion, euthanasia, racial tension, economic uncertainty, growing
immorality, and terrorism. We do not shrink from these issues. We lovingly face them with
honesty, helping people discover the power of God's Grace to bring happiness and stability
into their lives. We are committed to offering answers to a world that says,
"There
are no answers." Our answers are based on God's eternal, changeless truth found
in the Bible.
Finally, we seek to be on the cutting edge of change. If we are to
reach our community, we must reach everyone in a way that is
relevant to them. To that end, we use a variety of
multi-media presentations, video projection, praise band and drama to share the
wonderful message of Christ. Our charge is to share the unchanging message
of Christ with an ever - changing world.
We believe that people are tired
of "joining things" - they want to belong somewhere. With a growing sense of community, practical "real
world" teaching, and vibrant contemporary
worship, we think
you'll find Stonebriar a comfortable place to learn and experience the deeper things of
life.
We invite you to join us this
weekend and experience Stonebriar for yourself!
